Using the site

You are welcome to read, watch and share our stories, and to follow our trails. Please don't republish our films or text commercially, or present our work as your own, without asking us first.

Historical interpretation

Some images on this site are reconstructions — visual interpretations built from documented sources, not photographs of the past. They are labelled as such wherever they appear, and each story lists what it was built from. We work to make them accurate, but an interpretation is not a record, and we will correct anything shown to be wrong.

Visiting the places we describe

Our stories point at real locations, many of them outdoors and some of them uneven, exposed or on private land. Opening times and access change. Check before you travel, follow signage, and take responsibility for your own safety. We are not liable for anything that happens on a visit.

Other people's rights

Archive material and creative work belonging to others is used with permission and credited. If you believe we have used something we should not have, tell us at david@isleconnect.co.uk and we will take it down while we look into it.

Corrections

If you think something here is wrong, please tell us. We would rather be corrected than be confidently mistaken.

Liability

We provide this site in good faith and take care over it, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
